Ida Saidani is an English instructor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Tunis, where she has been teaching various subjects to English students since September 2002. Primarily focused on migration studies. She is currently in her fourth year of doctoral research at the University of Granada, Spain. Saidani is conducting a detailed analysis of European Parliament plenary debates on migration.
With a wealth of experience, Saidani has also served as the Project Coordinator at the Applied Social Science Forum (ASSF) in Tunis from July 2011 to March 2020. In this role, she managed large-scale projects, oversaw report drafting, and monitored project activities. Notable projects under her coordination include the EU-funded “E-Monitoring and Digital Resilience: Against Online/Offline Violent Extremism and Hate Speech (EMROHD)” and the H2020 project PRACTICIES.
Saidani’s academic journey includes a current pursuit of a Ph.D. in Migration Studies at the Universidad de Granada, a Master’s degree from the University of Tunis, and a Professional Certificate in English Language Teaching (PCELT) from AMIDEAST. She possesses advanced language skills in English.
Saidani has contributed to academic discourse with an article titled “The European Parliament Debate on Solidarity Viewed through the Lens of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA),” published with Mimesis International Journal.
