The Tunisian Scouts organized a training course for MEDIATE project volunteers, who will initiate the peace caravan across the country. The training took place from 5-7 October 2018 at the International Scout Camping and Training Centre in Borj Cédria. This project aims at preventing the risk of violent extremism and to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations to respond to threats resulting from violent extremism through an alternative method of negotiation and mediation for a positive vision of the role of youth in achieving stability .

This course, overseen by Commander Zouhaier Azaouzi and Commander Dhafer Tmimi, aimed at introducing the national team to MEDIATE project and prepare the components and elements of the peace caravan that will visit all Tunisian governorates and whose theme is “spreading the culture of tolerance and combating violent extremism.”
