Presentation of the report entitled: “Salafist-Takfiri Jihadism in Tunisia: From Da’awa to blowing minds,” written by Dr. Abdellatif Hannachi
As part of MEDITAE project, the Applied Social Sciences Forum organized a press conference on Friday, September 6, 2019, in Tunis, to present findings of the report “Salafist-Takfiri Jihadism in Tunisia: From Da’awa to blowing minds,” written by Dr. Abdellatif Hannachi.
The report aims to set preliminary features for the contemporary history of terrorism. It also carries, as part of the Encyclopedia of Violent Extremism in Tunisia, a number of historical and statistical data on the development of the phenomenon and its characteristics. The data includes different approaches, starting from Slimen group until today. The report deals with two types of data: the reality of arrivals from hotbeds of tension and the reality of violent extremism in Tunisia.
